Description
A few opcode-level optimizations are possible but haven't been done:
- Pre-allocate immutable primitive objects loaded with Load* (
Null,Int,Float,Bool) - Merge basic blocks with only one Branch reference into the referrer
- Compile-time code evaluation
- Perform data flow analysis and transform uses of execution stack into more efficient code

First steps
- Read the whole issue, then the project's contributing guide.
- Comment on the issue to say you are picking it up — it saves two people doing the same work.
- Fork the repository and make your change on a branch.

Research direction
Start by locating the compiler's opcode optimization and compile-time evaluation entry points, since the issue names no files or tests. Review the completed optimization items for existing patterns; done means implementing the unchecked compile-time code evaluation item and confirming existing behavior remains correct.
