Docs: German translation

Hi, I'd be interested in doing a german translation of the Docs. Following the guidance on Read The Docs I first wanted to create an issue here. I've found a german cheatsheet in one issue but otherwise cannot find reference to a german translation already being done.

If anyone knows whether a german translation has already been done, please do let me know. Otherwise, I would likely start in the next couple of weeks.
