Allow user to traverse history quickly and smoothly

Many times I've been stuck clicking back multiple times over and over to find the context I was just at.

**Describe the solution you'd like**
There should be a setting or a default history tracker and nice hotkey to go back.
History of your last few pages should be able to be navigated to within a few keystrokes. Say on the left it lists your last 4 pages (by default or toggle) and Ctrl + 4 would take you back to the 4th page in history

A super slick ux could be Ctrl + (1-5) would preview the page and you can scroll through (by pressing 1-5 or arrow keys) as long as ctrl is still held down. And you navigate to the actual page upon ctrl release.

**Describe alternatives you've considered**
Clicking back a lot. Also the recent menu from the hamburger, but it takes up way too much real estate to justify keeping that open

Start by clarifying whether the requirement is a history list, keyboard shortcuts, preview behavior, or all three, then identify the existing back-navigation and recent-menu paths; done should include an agreed interaction design and working history navigation.
