Description

Hi. Is there a way to connect to Logstash that is hosted in Elastic Cloud?

I've created a 14-day trial, and received credentials along with a Cloud ID. The cloud ID is in the form "label:base64-encoded data". When I decode the data, a hostname (in my case `europe-west3.gcp.cloud.es.io` becomes visible, along with some other data, presumably related to the cloud instance).

Any way to get this to work?

Research direction

Start by reviewing the logstashUDP connection configuration and the Elastic Cloud credentials and Cloud ID described in the issue. Determine whether the appender can connect to a Logstash instance hosted in Elastic Cloud; done means a documented or working connection path, with any required configuration identified.
