Description

Which version of LM Studio?
Example: LM Studio 0.3.24 ( Build 6)

Which operating system?
Mac Os latest

What is the bug?

"🥲 Failed to load the model

Failed to load model

Error when loading model: ModuleNotFoundError: No module named 'huggingface_hub'"

To Reproduce
Steps to reproduce the behavior:

  1. Go to 'Load a Model'
  2. Click on any model*

*Seems to work with Llama based models but I get the error with OpenAI's gpt-oss 20B, qwen3-30b-a3b-2507 and deepseek-r1-0528-qwen3-8b

Research direction

Start at the Load a Model entry point and reproduce the failure with gpt-oss 20B, qwen3-30b-a3b-2507, or deepseek-r1-0528-qwen3-8b on macOS. Compare those results with a Llama-based model and capture the exact LM Studio version. Done means the affected models load without the missing huggingface_hub error.
