Description
Installing the new version and running UMAP, first attempt runs ok, all subsequent ones crash (likely due to some memory leak). Downgrading to the previous version solves the problem.

Research direction
Start by reproducing the failure described: run UMAP once with the newest version, then repeat it and compare behavior with the previous version. Investigate where memory grows between runs; done means repeated UMAP executions no longer crash in the newest version and the regression is verified.
