Description

Hi!

I encountered an unusual visual issue in the 🏆 Chatbot Arena LLM Leaderboard section at https://lmarena.ai/. When scrolling or interacting with the leaderboard (e.g., hovering over entries or rankings), there is a noticeable "wobble" or shaking effect in the UI components (e.g., cards, text, or table rows). This behavior feels unintended and could detract from the user experience.

Uncertainty:
I’m not sure if this is a bug or an intentional animation. If it’s a feature, the wobble effect might need tuning, as it appears erratic. If unintended, it likely requires investigation.

Steps to Reproduce:

  1. Visit https://lmarena.ai/.
  2. Scroll through the Chatbot Arena LLM Leaderboard.
  3. Hover over or interact with leaderboard entries.
  4. Observe the wobbling/shaking motion in UI elements.

Expected Behavior:
UI elements should remain stable or animate smoothly without unintended distortion.

I’ve attached a screen recording showing the wobble during scrolling and interaction. The issue is most prominent when the page updates dynamically or during rapid scrolling.

Thanks

Research direction

Start by reproducing the reported wobble at lmarena.ai in the Chatbot Arena LLM Leaderboard while scrolling and hovering, using the attached screen recording as a reference. Identify the affected UI element and the interaction that triggers it; done means the leaderboard remains stable or animates smoothly during those actions.
