Description

Apparently it's very common to do it and our API returns several large objects (e.g. /query returns huge amounts of data). Can be done via Flask-compress or Nginx.

Research direction

Start by locating the Flask API setup and the /query endpoint, then compare whether compression belongs in Flask or Nginx. Done means large API responses such as /query are compressed without changing their contents, with the behavior verified through an API request.
