Description
@kswartz92 wants to solve a series of problems on the same mesh with different essential boundary conditions (for concreteness, this is for homogenization). It would be helpful if one could use the same solver object for all cases, for which we would need to activate and deactivate essential BCs on boundary sets.

Research direction
No files, tests, or entry points are identified. Start by locating the solver object and its essential boundary-condition handling, then determine how boundary sets are represented; done means the same solver can activate and deactivate essential BCs for successive problems on the same mesh.
