Description
Curve colors are currently not very distinct and are not very useful for differentiation (telling the difference, not doing the calculus thing). A solution by Christine is to give each curve fitter a distinct color when used to create a line.

Research direction
Start by locating the curve fitter implementations and the code that creates plotted lines. Trace how a fitter produces a curve and determine where colors are assigned. Done means curves created by different fitters use distinct, consistently assigned colors that make them easier to differentiate.
