Suggestion: Please allow us to disable interface elements

So, for a bit of a context, I have a very portable device and an eGPU. Using the old Forge on the eGPU works almost perfectly, except I have to restart the command line EVERY time I change models. Not sure if this is a bug, and I have not tested this on newer versions.

I'd update to the new one (at least the Cuda 121 Torch 231, Cuda 124 Torch 24 doesn't detect my RTX 3060), BUT, I cannot disable some interface elements like the upper left corner diffusion type (I only use SDXL) and refiner (which I also don't use). Its not a problem on a docked, 18" screen or larger, but when you're using in a 8.4 or 10.1 screen through touch, every space you can save counts and every disable button is one you can't touch by accident.

I have edited the UI-Config, I've been doing so since I started with A1111, but it doesn't matter when there's no option to lock the selection and disable the upper left radio buttons to completely suppress that upper bar, and disabling refiner there is ignored.

Start by reviewing the UI-Config behavior and the upper-left diffusion-type and refiner controls described in the issue. Confirm how the interface is assembled and how configuration changes are applied, then define completion as allowing those elements to be locked or disabled without affecting the remaining interface.
