Description

I'm having 8gb vram RTX 4060 laptop gpu but it's taking like 100s/it and I had to increase my page size to 32gb (my ram is 16gb) as it used to fail at loading checkpoint shards.

Research direction

No files, tests, or entry points are named. Start by reproducing checkpoint loading and iteration speed with the reported 8 GB VRAM, 16 GB RAM, and 32 GB page size; done would require identifying whether the behavior is expected and documenting or resolving the memory and performance cause.
