what are ldm and cldm subdirectories originated from?

Description
I saw the LDM library being mentioned in the train.md in ~/docs/, and I also saw the directory of ldm as well as cldm contains important tools in the repo. I am wondering, is it that the ldm and cldm be a existing library and that the repo simply deploys them, or that the repo wriotes them from ground zero?
