Degen Radio is a 24/7 decentralized livestreaming platform featuring international DJs, artists, and crypto influencers. It solves the problem of traditional music streaming’s limited monetization by enabling token-based earnings for performers and creating a global, interactive platform for brands, meme drops, and Web3 promotion - powered by Livepeer’s infrastructure.

At the conclusion of the grant period, Degen Radio will deliver a fully functional, 24/7 decentralized livestreaming platform powered by Livepeer. This includes a working application launched to production, live DJ and artist performances, integrated token-based monetization, and a published blog/video highlighting Livepeer’s role in enabling the project’s success.

Our team is committed to maintaining and upgrading Degen Radio long-term. We will monitor platform performance, ensure Livepeer integration stability, and roll out updates based on user feedback. Future upgrades include enhanced tokenomics, advanced scheduling features, multi-chain support, and AI-driven tools for DJs/artists. A portion of revenues will fund ongoing development and maintenance.

Our team combines deep expertise in music, artist collaboration, and Web3 development, making us the ideal team to build Degen Radio.
• Stefano Moses: A seasoned producer with over 13 years of experience working with artists, musicians, brands and creatives globally. Stefano has successfully developed and launched projects, showcasing his ability to deliver high-quality, scalable content while managing teams and timelines effectively.
• Sadie: An A&R for Sony Music, DJ, and music researcher with deep industry knowledge. Sadie brings an extensive network of artists, DJs, and performers, ensuring a steady flow of talent for Degen Radio. Her insights into the music industry and audience engagement are key to attracting both performers and listeners.
• DJ Blockchain Researcher/Developer: A prominent figure in DJ Twitter and a blockchain researcher with hands-on experience in building and integrating decentralized solutions. Their expertise ensures seamless Livepeer integration, wallet connectivity, and token functionality, providing the technical foundation for the project.

We’ll attract them through influencer partnerships, social media campaigns, community outreach in music and crypto spaces. Additionally, we’ll tap into existing Web3 and blockchain communities, offering a unique opportunity for creators to monetize their content.

No, this project was not started at a hackathon or another Web3 event. It was conceived as a response to the growing demand for decentralized, music-driven streaming platforms that integrate Web3 technologies like blockchain and tokenomics to offer new revenue models for artists, brands and DJs.

In addition to the detailed project plan, our roadmap, which can be found in our deck, outlines the phased approach for the development and expansion of Degen Radio. This includes launching with 24/7 streaming, integrating DJ and artist tokens, introducing meme and crypto product advertisements, and eventually rolling out AI-driven DJ and artist shows. Our vision also includes expanding the platform to allow for personalized tokens for DJs, artists, and influencers, creating new revenue streams and further enhancing user engagement. The team’s background in music, Web3, and blockchain, combined with the clear milestones and scalable roadmap, ensures the project’s long-term success and sustainability.
