## What is your project, and what problem does it solve?
This is an adjusted grant application from the previous submission for Basscaster-

Farcaster Livepeer Video Tooling empowers developers to quickly bring video-based ideas to life whilst also promoting Livepeer to Farcaster's ecosystem of developers, content creators and consumers.

Building on what Basscaster is done, this project will include an open source library + reference applications.

## Please describe in more detail why this proposal is valuable for the Livepeer ecosystem
Farcaster is on the cusp of an explosion of rich media content. People have built community there, but often have to redirect their subscribers elsewhere.

Livepeer will gain visibility, as well as be introduced to every aspect of the Farcaster ecosystem: Developers, content creators, and consumers of rich media.

Additionally, specific material targeting content creators will raise visibility.

## Please describe in details what your final deliverable for this project will be.
Multiple deliverables:

-fc-livepeer library itself
-reference applications for all livepeer core functions (video streaming, video storage, etc)
-instructional material (videos, blog posts, and comprehensive documentation)
-content creator specific material

## Specify your team's long-term plans to maintain this software and upgrade it over time
Creation of a github repo and call for contributors once the fc-livepeer library is released. Ivy Astrix intends to be a long-term maintainer of this project as an active participant in the Farcaster dev ecosystem (Basscaster, community frames for FarcastHER and elsewhere).

## Please describe (in words) your team's relevant experience, and why you think you are the right team to build this project. You can cite your team's prior experience in similar domains, doing similar dev work, individual team members' backgrounds, etc.
Ivy Astrix has a wealth of knowledge / experience in video content delivery, having been hired as part of the team that stood up Optik TV at TELUS Communications in Canada. That service now boasts 1.4 million customers in western canada and quebec, and at the time of her departure for another opportunity there were 1.1 million customers.

Ivy has the experience of both 0->1 and scaling, and has seen the challenges that came up during implementation of both live video and stored video services. She is also an experienced software engineer with over a decade of experience.

Finally, by the end of her tenure Ivy was also responsible for program management of the TELUS.NET portfolio, and is experienced and capable at project management / ensuring timely delivery of milestones.

## Who is your target user group? How do you plan on getting your users to use this?
Farcaster devs and content creators. Ivy will use her prominent presence on the platform to advocate for Livepeer and generate her own brand of content using the platform.

She will also leverage her Farcaster network / close connections with the Merkle team to highlight Livepeer's capabilities where able.

From the very helpful En / Madam Cult Leader who works for Livepeer.

Note that this is an adjusted proposal from the earlier grant requested for Basscaster which highlights how it satisfies inspo for the Video Disruptor category, and decouples from one implementation of livepeer to make something closer to video tooling that opens infinite possibilities.
