Project Description

Vrtuhub is a platform designed to be at the forefront of crypto marketing. It addresses current inefficiencies and inauthenticity in the space. Vrtuhub enables projects to publish tech reviews, engage in events, and harness community influence. This approach aims to break free from traditional limitations and provide a more effective platform for projects to reach new audiences.

How is Livepeer used for this project?

Stream live events both real-world and eSports with professional commentary and VOD integration using Livepeer Studio. We also have an AI video to Written review generator which works really well using OpenAI and I am looking to transition that to an open-source LLM that part isn't the focus of this grant but I am looking into it for the future.

How will you improve your project with this grant? What steps will you take to meet this objective?

Enable players to stream their independent live streams, alongside the main broadcasted feed. This is to reduce the likelihood of cheating as all participants in virtual events will be required to livestream.
Be able to save and store broadcasted streams, currently with theta edge cloud we are not able to do this without excess third-party solutions.
Upload Videos for blogs and tech reviews.

Was this project started at a hackathon or another web3 event? Which one?

No

Please describe (in words) your team's relevant experience, and why you think you are the right team to build this project. You can cite your team's prior experience in similar domains, doing similar dev work, individual team members' backgrounds, etc.

The platform is already almost fully developed, you can view a video of that there https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JlHE5S-383E&t and it has been developed by myself. We are also unofficially partnered with venus protocol, the largest lending platform on bnbchain to help with the rollout.

What is the project’s expected deliverable at the conclusion of the grant time period?

Have our site fully integrated with Livepeer so we can broadcast a 'pillow fight', which will be a real-world event we are looking to organise next month. I can also throw in and publish a blog directly onto our website announcing that we've integrated with Livepeer, and Livepeer will be powering our upcoming broadcasts.

Also, tech review VOD uploads will be using Livepeer Studio.

What is the one thing (the core mechanic) you want someone to do when using your deliverable?

Teams to be able to upload VOD and create and manage events with live streaming and broadcasting capabilities. I would also like to see our AI video to written review generator further enhanced and also encourage teams to start publishing content and even consider advertising on content published by existing tech reviewers.

How will this deliverable benefit the Livepeer ecosystem?

Increased adoption of Livepeer for live streaming in the crypto space.
Showcase of Livepeer capabilities for eSports, video content. Looking to organise a SIM Racing tournament on iRacing soon, which is the biggest PRO SIM racing game. In talks with one of the biggest Paintballing venues which gets over 2000 weekly visitors. BIG potential to raise awareness of Livepeer.

How did you learn about the Livepeer Grants Program?

Google search and discord.

Research direction

This is a grant application rather than a scoped repository task, and it names no code files, tests, or implementation entry point. Start by reviewing the linked demo and the stated Livepeer integration goals; done would require the site to support live events, participant streams, and VOD uploads as described.
