This grant will help pay developers to start building the app immediately and part of it will be used for marketing as well
## Was this project started at a hackathon or another web3 event? Which one?
It was started through an idea of solving a cheap crypto trading problem and live streaming Platform that will pay both creators and viewers
## Please describe (in words) your team's relevant experience, and why you think you are the right team to build this project. You can cite your team's prior experience in similar domains, doing similar dev work, individual team members' backgrounds, etc.
Me and my team are all from Nigeria, Africa. This app will not be limited to Africa along but it will be based and focused on Africa especially Nigeria. Nigeria has a very high rate of crypto adoption and a population of over 200 million people where the youth are like over 100 million and most of Nigerian youth are very talented, most are online content creators (comedians, musicians, tailors, hair stylists, DJ’s, auto mobile dealers and more so providing this live video streaming will enable and encourage them to rush and join the Julie app especially knowing that it’ll pay them as content creators to go on live stream, also knowing that it will increase they’re fan base and bring in lots of customers to their various businesses will make this a huge adoption for Julie and more for livepeer ecosystem as well
## What is the project’s expected deliverable at the conclusion of the grant time period?
Published blogs, videos and most of the development work will be done with website also available for visiting
## What is the one thing (the core mechanic) you want someone to do when using your deliverable?
Trading of crypto to local currency naira, withdrawal of funds from Julie wallet balance to bank account and most important being able to go on live video streaming as a content creator
## How will this deliverable benefit the Livepeer ecosystem?
Livepeer will be the core live video streaming service provider, this means as more users in Africa and Nigeria find out about Julie app they will also find out about livepeer, bringing a large crowd into the livepeer discord and ecosystem at large, in Africa nothing of such has been done.. we have alot of crypto trading app but none has a feature as the one Julie is about to build.
## How did you learn about the Livepeer Grants Program?
I’ve been a member of livepeer for over a year, that’s how I know about the grants program
