Description
"core” may not be the best name for the package that an external project would import. You would expect another project would want to import the “ppspp” package, or something like that.
This is going to take a little tedious work I think, because there is an internal type called "ppspp" that may cause problems.

Research direction
No files or tests are named. Start by locating the core package and the internal type named ppspp, then map package and import references throughout the repository. Rename the externally imported package without breaking the internal type, and run the repository's available Go tests or build to verify the result.
