Description
Currently everything just stalls if the ffmpeg container exits. Ideally we'd like to fail the test in that instance.

Research direction
Start in tests/e2e and trace how the ffmpeg container is launched and monitored. Reproduce the case where the container exits, then make the end-to-end test report failure instead of stalling; done means the relevant test fails promptly when ffmpeg exits.
