Description

Not an issue, more of a recommendation: it would make more sense to have a dark mode option like pretty much everybody else instead of a dropdown menu. It's a concept everybody is familiar with, a click/toggle button. In case of keeping the drop-down menu, I suggest using it as some sort of showcase of Lit option, with a link to docs and/or explaining in short sentence what makes it special.

Research direction

Start by reviewing the current dark-mode dropdown on the Lit website and compare the two directions described: a familiar toggle or an improved dropdown with documentation context. Done means one direction is selected and the corresponding dark-mode UI change is implemented consistently.
