Description

Found this while looking back at eng meeting notes from last month.
We wanted to mention importmaps somewhere in our docs as an alternative to bundling or doing node_module resolution now that it's available in all major browsers.
Maybe https://lit.dev/docs/tools/adding-lit/ might be an appropriate spot.

Research direction

Start with the suggested https://lit.dev/docs/tools/adding-lit/ page and review its existing guidance on bundling and node_modules resolution. Done means adding a clear mention of import maps as an alternative for browsers, with the wording and placement fitting the surrounding documentation.
