Bug description

Marking just ONE of 6 newspaper text columns in the PDF is often only possible across multiple columns. In other readers, this problem does not occur with the same PDF document.

Steps to reproduce

In the PDF, mark the text lines from "Der Reisekonzern..." to "...storniert." in the first column.
The next second column will be marked immediately. - This doesn't happen in other readers - only in Xreader. On the next PDF page, even more columns will be marked simultaneously.

Expected behavior

The marking may only be made in ONE column.

Research direction

Start by reproducing the selection problem in Xreader with the attached Zeitung-15.06.2024[7,8].pdf, selecting the text from "Der Reisekonzern..." to "...storniert." in the first column. Compare the selection behavior across columns and pages; done means selecting text in one newspaper column no longer selects adjacent columns.
