Issue
Years ago this annoying behaviour can be observed. I hoped this will be solved with time, but maybe nobody reported. However I am not sure if this is a problem with xreader or how the sandwich-pdf is created:

Steps to reproduce
Take non-searchable pdf. Make a sandwich pdf with OCR-Tool (e.g. pdf24).
Expected behaviour
marked words are readable

I have a pdf which is created by a scanner with integrated OCR processing. In this case I can read the letters.
