Description
Describe the bug
snapshot takes 4 times as long (98 seconds vs 21 seconds) after rsync updated from 3.4.4. to 3.50
To Reproduce
upgrade rsync to version 3.50 and compare snapshot time to complete
downgrade to version 3.4.4. and increase is gone
Expected behavior
no change in behaviour because of rsync vs 3.50
maybe rsync requires new settings??

Research direction
Start by reproducing the snapshot with rsync 3.50 and 3.4.4 on the reported Manjaro setup, comparing completion times in rsync mode. Trace the snapshot operation to determine where the version-dependent delay occurs; done means identifying and addressing the regression and confirming that snapshot duration no longer increases with rsync 3.50.
