Description
I am not sure if this has been reported or if this is a purposeful change. I have been using a customized version of Mint-X theme from around version 1.8.7, but today I upgraded to the latest release of 2.1.5 and have been tweaking a few things. However I noticed an issue in that when selecting icons on the mate desktop the background is a grey instead of the theme color. Here is a picture to show what I mean.
The icon selected in caja is aqua color matching the theme, but the selected icon on the desktop is grey. The older version of Mint-X did not have this behavior.
Thanks

Research direction
Reproduce the selected-icon color difference described for the Mint-X theme, comparing a selected icon on the MATE desktop with the same selection in Caja. Inspect the Mint-X styling for desktop selection backgrounds and compare it with the aqua color used in Caja. Done means desktop icon selection uses the intended Mint-X theme color rather than grey.
