Description

 * Cinnamon 4.0.8
 * Linux Mint 19.1 Cinnamon
 * 64 bit

Issue

When using multiple monitors, two in my case, closing all windows from one monitor using the scale view closes the scale view, regardless of windows being opened on the other monitor.

Steps to reproduce

  • Open several windows on both monitors
  • Open scale view
  • Close all windows on one monitor (via middle mouse button click)
  • The scale view closes, there are still windows open on the other monitor

Expected behaviour

The scale view should stay open, so I can continue closing windows on the other monitor, for example.

Other information

The issue appears to be quite new, as I never experienced that problem before.

Research direction

Reproduce the issue using the listed Cinnamon and Linux Mint versions with windows on two monitors, then trace the scale view entry point and its window-close handling. Done means closing all windows on one monitor leaves scale view open while windows remain on another monitor, and the existing related behavior in #1383 is considered.
