Bug description
open with dialoge default for one file type changes other file types.
specifically .conf and .dav for me, but possibly other filetypes as well
Steps to reproduce
1: right click a file with the .conf extension, then open with, then other application
2: in the open with window that comes up, click text editor, click set as default
3: now other files with an unrelated extension, such as .dav, will open with the text editor, instead of video player like it was before, even though nothing was changed for this filetype
Expected behavior
for each extension to have its own "open with" options
Additional information
In this screenshot, whatever I set as default for one window will immediately duplicate in the other window despite each being for two different filetypes

Research direction
The report names no source files or tests. Reproduce the issue using .conf and .dav files, then locate Cinnamon's open-with dialog and file-association handling; done means changing the default for one extension no longer changes the other.
