Bug description
My user password is requested on logon, even if I set the system to autologin.
Steps to reproduce
Set the sistem to login without password (from the UI)
Use the notebook some days - turning it off after usage, and it'll happen.
Expected behavior
The notebook should boot directly to desktop, no password input should be needed.
Additional information
Happens sometimes only, like one time every week.
If rebooted after it happens it then goes straigh to desktop.

Research direction
Start by reproducing the intermittent failure on Linux Mint 22.1 Xia with Cinnamon 6.4.8+xia, comparing shutdown-and-start with reboot while autologin is enabled through the UI. Trace the autologin/logon entry point and collect relevant logs when the password prompt appears; done means autologin works reliably after repeated shutdowns.
