Openconnect VPN usernames not being saved - bug fixed in gnome-shell!

Bug description

When you connect to a vpn connection using openconnect (after installing network-manager-openconnect-gnome) you can switch on "Save passwords" and it works like expected. Next time you start the vpn connection the password field is pre-filled. Unfortunately the username doesn't get saved due to some problem with serializing VPN secrets.

This has also been a bug in gnome-shell but got fixed some years ago.

I hope this annoying bug can be sorted out in Cinnamon too. None of the workarounds I found for gome-shell do work in Cinnamon.

Steps to reproduce

• sudo apt install network-manager-openconnect-gnome
• (no idea if you have to log out and in again at this point)
• Start "Network Connections" from the panel.
• Add a new OpenConnect VPN Connection an fill in your connection stuff
  (in my case just a name and the Juniper gateway of my University)
• Use the Network-Menu in Panel to start the new VPN-Connection.
• Type in your credentials and select "Save passwords"
• disable VPN Connection
• Start VPN again and see that username is not saved

Expected behavior

passwords AND usernames being saved like under gome-shell

Start by reproducing the issue through Network Connections and the Network-Menu with network-manager-openconnect-gnome, then compare Cinnamon's behavior with the linked GNOME Shell discussion and merge request. Done means an OpenConnect username selected for saving remains pre-filled after disabling and restarting the VPN connection.
