linux mint cinnamon hangs after copy and paste

In google chrome browser do a search for:
pastéis de nata

then get result from search labs

Click on "show more" and then want to copy the text, so high light area and do ctrl-C to copy and ctrl-V to paste into yahoo mail message. Then system hangs and have to reboot. Did this twice.

Steps to reproduce

In google chrome browser do a search for:
pastéis de nata

and get results at this website

Click on show more and high light the description.
Do ctrl-C to copy and ctrl-V to paste in yahoo mail message.

Then system hangs.
Still able to move cursor but can not click on anything.
After short time can not move cursor.

Need to reboot.

Did this twice with same results.

Expected behavior

Expected to be able to pasted copied text in yahoo mail message to myself and then click send.
