Bug description
Linux Mint cinnamon (default) and (software emulation) crash when reading a 2-slide pptx PowerPoint file with LibreOffice. Linux Mint cinnamon (Wayland) works fine.
I originally reported this as a LibreOffice bug, but after testing various versions of LibreOffice and different versions of Linux Mint (mate), I concluded that the bug is in Linux Mint and not in LibreOffice. Ubuntu also works fine. This bug is specific to Linux Mint.
Steps to reproduce
Just open the amazing-slides2.pptx file with LibreOffice. Linux Mint crashes even when using the Live CD. However, if Wayland is specified in the login screen, everything works fine.
Expected behavior
The 2-slide pptx file should display in LibreOffice normally.

Research direction
Reproduce the crash by opening the attached amazing-slides2.pptx in LibreOffice on Linux Mint Cinnamon, comparing the default, software-emulation, and Wayland sessions. Start with the provided distribution, graphics, and session details; done means the two-slide presentation opens without Cinnamon crashing in the affected sessions.
