Bug description

While I am using the accessibility magnifier on Linux Mint, if I take a screenshot of the screen or take a screen recording, it will capture or record the zoomed in portion instead of the entire (unmagnified) portion. I have tried this this with 3rd party tools such as Flameshot and OBS as well as screenshot tool provided by Linux Mint, yields the same result. Please refer to the image below for a visual demonstration.
Note: the screenshot is taken for the entire screen while it was magnified.

Steps to reproduce
  1. Open accessibility settings.
  2. Enable zoom and increase the magnification factor.
  3. Press print screen key, alternatively launch screenshot app and take a screenshot.
Expected behavior

The produced screenshot to capture the entire screen space (unmagnified) portion.

Additional information

For some reason, this is a common problem with all Linux DEs while it should not be. I magnifier should not behave like this since it is a ACCESSIBILITY feature, it is intended for supporting people and only meant for utilization of the primary user. It should not reflect on content generated on the device and this oversight is a huge deal-breaker for me for switching to Linux.

Research direction

Start by reproducing this through Accessibility settings with Cinnamon magnification enabled, then compare the Print Screen key, the Linux Mint screenshot tool, Flameshot, and OBS. Investigate how the magnified display is exposed to screen capture and verify that captures contain the full unmagnified screen while the magnifier remains visible to the user.
