Bug description
Hello,
When I middle click on the task bar panel, the only way to close that menu is by selecting an app in it. If no apps are open, this basically soft-locks the DE, and the only way to fix it is by a hard reset of the computer.
Steps to reproduce
Log in
Middle click on task bar panel
Try to close it
Expected behavior
The menu should have a way to close, by pressing escape or by middleclicking the taskbar again

Research direction
Reproduce the issue on Mint 21.1 with Cinnamon 6.4.8 by middle-clicking the taskbar when no applications are open, then inspect the taskbar panel's menu behavior. Done means the menu can be dismissed with Escape or by middle-clicking the taskbar again, without selecting an application or locking the desktop.
