Bug description
The default Cinnamon shortcuts app does not seem to recognize/respect at least the following specific shortcuts:
- 'Shift+Super+('
- 'Shift+Super+)'
- 'Shift+Super+<' (specifically left bracket, right works fine)
Steps to reproduce
- Bind any function to the previously mentioned keymaps.
- Test the keymaps, they malfunction.
Expected behavior
The keyboard shortcut works as expected with those specific keymaps.

Research direction
Start by reproducing the shortcuts-app behavior on Mint 21.1 with package version 6.4.8, testing the three listed keymaps and the working right-bracket variant for comparison. Done means Shift+Super+(, Shift+Super+), and Shift+Super+< can be bound and invoke their assigned functions.
