Bug description
After initiating a shutdown and closing the lid of the laptop immediately after, the System doesn't proceed and is instead put into Sleep Mode. After opening the Lid and entering the user password, the system immediately resumes.
Steps to reproduce
See description
Expected behavior
The system should not be allowed to enter sleep mode when closing the lid after a shutdown is initiated. It should instead proceed with the shutdown without entering sleep mode.

Research direction
Start by reproducing the shutdown-then-immediate-lid-close sequence on Linux Mint 22 with Cinnamon 6.2.9 and the reported Lenovo ThinkPad T460 hardware. Trace how shutdown initiation interacts with lid-close sleep handling; done means the system proceeds with shutdown rather than entering sleep mode.
