Display App Crash When "Mirror" Is Selected

Bug description

I have my computer hooked into both my monitor (1440p) and my TV (1080p). If I turn on both displays in the app and select "Mirror" while only one of them is active, the app crashes. I must first select and apply "Join Displays," which allows me to then select and apply "Mirror" without the app crashing.

Steps to reproduce

1.) Have two displays hooked into your computer.
2.) Have only your primary display enabled. Secondary display should be disabled.
3.) Click your secondary display in the gui, then click the toggle to enable it.
4.) Before clicking apply, click "Mirror."
5.) App crashes.

Expected behavior

Mirror displays with no crashing, and without having to join the displays first.

Additional information

Unsure if the different resolutions of my display hardware contributes to causing the bug; the bug occurs even if I set my 1440p monitor to 1080p (so it matches my TV's resolution) before attempting to mirror.

Reproduce the crash in Cinnamon's display settings with one enabled display and a newly enabled secondary display, selecting Mirror before applying. Start by capturing the application's crash output or system logs and tracing the display-settings entry point. Done means Mirror applies successfully without requiring Join Displays, including with different display resolutions.
