Bug description

Hello

I realised a stuttering in all OpenGl Applications under Cinnamon 5.8.4 running Mint 21.2.
I can see it with Glmark2. It stutter every Second, for, say a Millisecond before the Picture runs again.
It is hard to see, but this Problem i had also under every Game i played under Steam with proton Engine.
if i ran a manual "muffin --replace" in a Console, the Startmenu an the Panel are gone and the OpenGL Benchmark and all Game are running smooth and fast. This happenend also when i logged in under Mate with Compiz as Window Manager - all smooth without stuttering.
Also a Manual "Cinnamon --replace" brings back my Panel and my Window Decorations but Game Playing is disturbed. Ialso tried serveral Versions of Nvidia Driver , now installed the last 545.29.06

greetings
Michi

Steps to reproduce

normal log in under cinnamon - stuttering
manual "muffin --replace" or "compiz --replace" solve the problem, but cinnamon is gone an unusable.
manual "cinnamon --replace" restored the cinnamon but opengl runs stuttering.

Expected behavior

OPenGL runs smooth without stuttering

Research direction

Reproduce the stutter in Cinnamon with glmark2 or a Proton game, then compare it with the behavior after “muffin --replace” and “cinnamon --replace.” Trace the Cinnamon and Muffin window-manager paths involved in OpenGL rendering; done means OpenGL applications remain smooth while the panel and window decorations remain usable.
