Description
* Cinnamon version: Cinnamon 5.4.9
* Distribution - Mint 21
Issue
When trying to type a letter with an accent, such as "ã", "õ", "á", etc, in the menu search bar, it just adds the letter by itself, without the accent.

This error also manifests itself when trying to name a workspace in Expo View:

It's possible other elements of the Cinnamon shell are also affected.
Steps to reproduce
Try to type an accentuated character in the menu search bar or in the workspace name field.
Expected behaviour
It would be possible to type accentuated characters in these fields.

Research direction
Start by reproducing the issue in the menu search bar and the Expo View workspace name field on Cinnamon 5.4.9 with Mint 21, then inspect the text-input handling for those two UI areas. Done means accented characters such as ã, õ, and á can be entered correctly in both fields.
