Description
Currently even with the "disable compositing for full-screen windows" option being enabled, image synchronization technologies such as G-Sync do not work with some games. The Witcher 3 played through proton being one example.
As such it would be nice for the built-in compositor in Cinnamon to have an option which disables it through a command for example. This would solve the issue as you could then write a script which disables the compositor upon launching a game and re-enables it when the game closes.
Could you consider adding this?
Thanks.

Research direction
Start by tracing Cinnamon's built-in compositor controls and how existing full-screen compositing options are exposed. Define the command or interface needed to disable and re-enable compositing, then verify that it can be used reliably by a script around a game launch.
