Issue
Currently all System Tray application icons are automatically sorted alphabetically and can only be moved as a group.
Picture showing what happens when trying to move a single application icon in System Tray:

It would be great if all System Tray application icons could be moved / sorted manually and separately from other System Tray application icons.
EDIT: Forgot to add; additionally it would be also great if application icon positions in the System Tray would be remembered between reboots.

Research direction
Start by reproducing the current grouped, alphabetical System Tray behavior on Cinnamon 5.0.5 and inspect the System Tray implementation. The work is done when application icons can be moved and sorted independently, with their positions remembered across reboots.
