Description
Hi everyone !
I think it would be nice to have the option to automatically remove old trash and temporary files after a certain amount of time in Cinnamon.
Maybe this could be implemented directly in Nemo, but I think this would fit better within the privacy and security controls in Cinnamon.
This could actually improve the security of Cinnamon users, as I recently learned that cache and temporary files can leak personal information such as encrypted file contents.
Thanks !

Research direction
No files, tests, or entry points are identified. Start by reviewing Cinnamon's privacy and security controls and the possible Nemo boundary, then define retention behavior for trash and temporary files. Done means an agreed design and implementation scope for configurable automatic cleanup.
