Description
Editing `modules/linux` to support Linux release candidates is not enough, as the checksum verification is not able to deal with the file name: `linux-4.19-rc4.tar.gz` ().

Research direction
Start by inspecting modules/linux and the checksum-verification path, then compare the handling of the referenced linux-4.19-rc4.tar.gz filename with regular Linux releases. Done means release-candidate archives pass checksum verification without requiring changes only to modules/linux.
