Description

Long shot, and won't impact downtream releases before +2 release (one release having fixes... to be applied on next firmware release)

This is where planning ahead has impact :/

Research direction

Start by tracing the Heads firmware-upgrade flow and locating where ifdtool could be integrated. Then determine how MRC trained data is extracted and injected, and document the release-delay assumptions described in the issue. Done means the integration plan and its upgrade path are validated against the project's firmware process.
