Description
This is what I remembered in yesterday's meeting: https://github.com/u-root/webboot is (was?) a Linux + u-root based boot environment that allowed direct booting of distro release ISOs from the web using kexec. However, looks like it's been deprecated a couple of years ago already. It was also presented at OSFC in 2019: https://www.phoronix.com/news/Webboot-Boot-Web-ISOs

Research direction
Start by reviewing the LinuxBoot book’s existing implementation list and the linked u-root/webboot project. Confirm whether webboot’s deprecated status should prevent inclusion. Done when the book lists webboot with accurate status and context, or records why it is omitted.
