Research direction

The issue names specificToGeneric, genericToSpecific, and clone utility methods but does not identify files, existing entry points, or tests. First locate the relevant Avro utility code and establish the expected generic-array, enum-symbol, fixed-value, and immutable-copy behavior before implementation; done means all three utilities share the intended logic and avoid unnecessary copies.
