Description
> If the difference between the time now and the time of the most recent offset is greater than the difference between the most recent offset and the oldest offset in the window, the consumer is in an ERROR state and the partition is marked as STOPPED.
I've tried reading this a few times and it doesn't make sense to me. What is the "window" in this case? Could somebody perhaps provide an example highlighting how/when this can occur?
Thanks

Research direction
Start by locating the documentation containing the quoted ERROR-state wording. Clarify what the "window" refers to and add a concrete example showing when the stated condition occurs; the issue is complete when a newcomer can understand the condition without rereading it several times.
