Customer consumer group commit source

We have recently purchased a tool that manages it's own offsets. We know how to extract the offset data and would like to pass it through burrow to centralize all our consumer group monitoring. Is this currently possible? I have been unable to find anyway to do it today without forking the project. If not is this a pattern that would be of general interest?
