Description
[DOC] Clarification regarding Vision Foundry under "LightlyTrain in Research"
📍 Location of the issue
- File/Section: README --- "LightlyTrain in Research"
- Link (if applicable): Vision Foundry entry
✏️ Suggested Improvement
Hi, I'm the lead developer and one of the authors behind Vision
Foundry: A System for Training Foundational Vision AI Models. First of
all, thank you for featuring our work in the repository!
I noticed that Vision Foundry is currently listed under the
"LightlyTrain in Research" section. I wanted to clarify that Vision
Foundry was developed independently and does not use or build upon
LightlyTrain, LightlySSL, or any other Lightly framework. Lightly is
referenced in our paper only as a citation to related work.
Could you clarify whether this section is intended to highlight research
broadly related to LightlyTrain, or specifically research that uses
LightlyTrain?
If the latter, it might be helpful to adjust the listing or section
wording to avoid suggesting that Vision Foundry was developed using
LightlyTrain.
Thanks!

Research direction
Open the README and review the Vision Foundry entry in the “LightlyTrain in Research” section. First determine whether the section is meant for research broadly related to LightlyTrain or only work that uses it, then check the issue discussion for maintainer guidance. Done means the listing or section wording no longer implies that Vision Foundry was developed using LightlyTrain.
