Description

Hi, I've had this issue since as long as I used Retroarch on my fire tv stick 4k and non-4k. When exiting this core, and only this core, Retroarch closes. I thought that this would be fixed by #637 , but the issue still remains. The strange thing is, as you will see in the logs, there is no mention anywhere of anything that would cause Retroarch or the core to crash. I haven't been able to test different settings to see if it would fix the issue, as those are only saved when exiting Retroarch normally.

Research direction

Start by reproducing the exit behavior for the parallel-n64 core on Fire TV Stick 4K and compare the Retroarch log with the parallel-n64 core log linked in the issue, also reviewing the related context in #637. Done means exiting this core no longer closes Retroarch and the behavior is confirmed on the affected devices.
