There are also a couple of pastebin logs for when I launch with GL and with Vulkan, but to me, they look ok except the errors towards the end of the Vulkan one (which would be related to the bad framerate I assume).
In a nutshell, when using ParaLLEl on what should be powerful enough hardware on Linux, the performance is poor from the outset, especially when compared against mupen64plus-libretro and mupen64plus standalone with either the GlideN64 or Glide64 plugins. This is unusual behaviour.
I have not been able to improve performance even when setting everything to baseline, this is the same across every plugin. Perfect Dark is a good example, the intro is choppy and audio is terrible across all plugins except Rice, whereas the other cores mentioned above have no such issue. GL performs better than Vulkan by a huge distance, however even when running GL, games have a lot more slowdown using the parallel-n64 core.
Just FYI, I am successfully using Vulkan on Dolphin and Beetle-PSX-HW with no problems or performance issues, and I am using GL for all other emulators, equally with no problem.
Any ideas? If you need me to generate any further logs I am happy to.
